Bisexual men who are married to women are one of the largest but most hidden groups in the LGBT+ community. 88% of partnered Bi+ men are with women, and separately but not coincidentally, 88% of Bi+ men are not out to most of the important people in their lives.

After the first season of Two Bi Guys, it became clear that the topic of bisexual men who are married to women was resonating with our audience enormously. From the first episode on this topic through today, I receive more messages from this demographic than any other. Bi+ people in straight-passing marriages are hungry for resources and representation, but no one is talking about this experience.

That’s why I began conducting oral history interviews with these men in 2020, not knowing what the final product would be. In 2022 I secured a book deal with Routledge and conducted a second series of interviews. The final product is an oral history / memoir containing thirteen unique relationship stories (as well as bits of my own), plus my context and analysis.

The book is available from Routledge, Amazon, and local bookstores as of November, 2023. I’m also conducting an interview series with the subjects from the book on Two Bi Guys. I’m so excited to share these stories with the world, increase Bi+ representation, and build queer community.
